The animation will be worked on Digitally and therefore is required to be at least 60seconds long.
The Broad Idea I had was to do an adaptation of the tale of Little Red Riding Hood with Adventure Time Characters.
The reason why I chose to use Adventure Time Characters is because it allows me to have a solid reference to stay on model with. Also, to me it would also emulate the circumstance of me animating characters that are not in a style I typically draw in. For future employment to happen I need to adapt and be able to draw other people's creations with exact precision!
Anyways...
The idea that became fleshed out after deciding what I was aiming for is basically this:
Finn and Jake are going on a visit to Tree Trunks' house because they brought her lots of apples to make nummy apple pies with. When they arrive to the house, they notice that her door's open and continue to go inside the house, thinking she was expecting them. Once inside the house, they notice a figure in bed and it turns out to be a wolf in a bonnet. For whatever reason Finn and Jake both think it's Tree Trunks and begin to state the things that look different about her (Man, you really let your hair grow out Tree Trunks, And your nose looks like it's been capped up with black licorice.. etc.) sort of like how Little Red Riding Hood talks to the wolf in disguise. After they've only been responded to with whimpers and growls, Jake finally concludes that this is not Tree Trunks. Quickly Finn takes out his new Ax and points it threateningly towards the wolf demanding what it did to Tree Trunks, he even gets gutsy enough to lunge at the wolf and hold it's mouth open to inspect the inside of the wolf. When he does that all of the sudden they all here a yell at the door! Lumpy Space Princess and Tree Trunks are at the door and LSP is screaming. Finn lets go of the wolf and asks what's going on? LSP rushes over and exclaims that the wolf was her Grandma and then chastises Finn for not even noticing the resemblance. Tree Trunks explains that she was taking care of the wolf for LSP and that they had stepped out for a moment. Finn and Jake laugh at their mistake and Jake asks if he can have apple pie.
I hope to use ToonBoom Animate for this project, but if I get scared at the last minute this will end up as a Flash Animation.
One of the things I am unsure about while animating is the voices. It will either be me doing their voices horribly or I will just make this silent movie style. regardless there will be 60 seconds of animation completed.
